Here are the UPDATED but still somewhat tentative sailing dates for the 2026 season. As usual, our schedule will be wind dependent. See what works for you and email Loch and Lee if any dates/legs are of particular interest.
-
The Helford River is barely deep enough for Voyager, so we need a full moon tide to do move around the harbor in Gweek and to get down the river.
-
We would welcome help from anyone who is interested, and would consider paying too. We will be varnishing spars, doing some engine work, and replacing parts of our head.
-
We have our first crew arriving on the 16th and are planning to sail east from Falmouth to perhaps Dartmouth, to shakedown the rig, see what problems there may be, and to see some beautiful harbors.
-
We missed a lot of the French Coast on our way here and want to get back there for the food and the beautiful harbors of St. Malo, Roscoff, and the Channel Islands.
-
*longer passage, 80-100nm
We’ll want some experienced crew for this and/or to wait for good conditions.
-
We will be repainting the bottom and topsides while there, along with some other work above deck here and there.
-
The Scilly Islands are apparently beautiful and a must see, but also unprotected. We’ll spend time there if the weather allows.
-
130nm, longest passage of the summer. We’d like to have some experienced crew for this. Kinsale is supposed to be beautiful and we’ve been told, surprisingly, that the food there is great.
-
This will be mostly shorter daysails, so good for less experienced crew. We’ll be wanting to spend time ashore in some of Ireland’s beautiful harbors.
-
Again, shorter daysails and beautiful harbors. Do we sail over to the Isle of Mann? If the crew is up for it, we can? As usual, we welcome your input, especially if you’ve researched places to go. If the harbor is good and safe, and the wind is right, we’ll go!
-
From Belfast, we will cross over to Campbeltown, the Isle of Arran, or further south, Stanraer.
Would be great to have some help at the end of the September getting Voyager ready for the winter. We’ll end up at Kip Marina, near Glasgow. Or possibly we will winter further north, around Crinan. The Crinan Canal is another reputedly beautiful spot.
