Here are the tentative sailing dates for the 2026 season. As usual, our schedule will be wind dependent. See what works for you and email Loch and Lee if any dates/legs are of particular interest.
-
The Helford River is barely deep enough for Voyager, so we need a full moon tide to do move around the harbor in Gweek and to get down the river.
-
We would welcome help from anyone who is interested, and would consider paying too. We will be painting the hull, varnishing topsides, caulking where necessary, and have some engine work to do.
-
We have 2 days of spring tides to work with here, the 18th and 19th. Once we get put back in, we’ll likely get down the river to Falmouth as quickly as we can.
-
There are some beautiful harbors near Falmoth, including Fowey, Salcombe, and Dartmouth. We’ll use these sails to shake off the rust and make sure Voyager is ready. Big plus here is that we’ve been to some of these ports before.
-
*longer passage, 80-100nm
We’ll want some experienced crew for this and/or to wait for good conditions.
-
We didn’t spend much time on the French side of the Channel last year, so want to see more of it. The food is good and it should be a bit warmer there.
-
*longer passage, 80-100nm.
We’d like to have some experienced crew for this. We’ve read good things about the Scilly Islands, but also have to be careful there. They are low and offer little protection from the wind. We’d only be able to stay as long as conditions permit.
-
130nm, longest passage of the summer. We’d like to have some experienced crew for this.
-
This will be mostly shorter daysails, so good for less experienced crew. We’ll be wanting to spend time ashore in some of Ireland’s beautiful harbors.
-
Again, shorter daysails and beautiful harbors. We have lots of options of harbors to hit and welcome input.
-
More short daysailing and stunning ports. Whisky, castles, and Guinness.
Would be great to have some help at the end of the summer, getting Voyager ready for the winter. We’ll be right near Glasgow for easy flights out.
